Fellowship at Creekside Church of Christ
Fellowship is the Bible text’s way of expressing the idea of sharing, and we love sharing at Creekside Church of Christ because it’s what the earliest Christians did. We’re told they “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer” (Acts 2:42). After we have worshiped together, we enjoy a short time of fellowship where we have coffee before going on to join in studying the Bible.
The congregation also has several fellowship events during the year at which we enjoy one another’s company, For instance, late in the year there’s a night when our cooks compete in a “Chili cook-off” with honors given to the winner. Since fellowship involves sharing, we also take part in contributing to provide for special needs that brothers or sisters may encounter.
